Former French Ambassador Shares His Experience with HSE Students as a Digital Professor
As part of the ‘Digital Professors’ programme, HSE University invites international lecturers to work with students remotely. One of the programme’s participants is Dr Pierre Andrieu, lecturer at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). At HSE University, he taught the elective courses ‘EU in the World’ and ‘New Challenges and Threats’ in 2021–2022. In his interview with the HSE News Service, Dr Andrieu talked about his diplomatic career, research interests, and interactive teaching.

Lev Manovich, Presidential Professor of computer science at the City University of New York and author of works on digital culture and new media, was one of the first foreign scholars to start remote work with HSE students this academic year. He is leading a project seminar at the Faculty of Humanities for students of the Bachelor’s programme in Cultural Studies.
New Programme Allows Foreign Scholars to Teach at HSE Remotely
Thanks to a recently launched programme for visiting scholars, HSE University will host a large number of international scholars and scientists who will teach or conduct research at HSE. In the 2020/21 academic year, about a hundred colleagues from foreign universities will work remotely at HSE under civil law contracts. HSE First Vice Rector Vadim Radaev told the HSE News Service about the new programme.
