Application Evaluation Criteria

KEY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPLICATIONS TO THE HSE VISITING SCHOLAR PROGRAMME:

• The high level of recognition of the visiting scholar in the global academic community should be confirmed by honorary titles and permanent contracts with prestigious (according to world rankings) scientific and educational centres, citation index results, total number of publications in peer-reviewed journals, recommendations of other specialists;
• The visiting scholar should confirm his/her intention to organize a workshop at HSE, as well as consent to the invitation terms by filling in a standard form; 
• The purpose of the stay of the visiting scholar should align with the development goals of HSE and the host subdivision;
• The results of past visits on the initiative of the host subdivision should be indicated;
• If the visiting scholar is invited for a period longer than a month, he/she should be directly involved in pedagogical activities (e.g., giving lectures).

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA:

• The visiting scholar should be from a partner university or an academic institution aiming to develop a partnership with HSE;
• The purpose of the visiting scholar’s stay should be in line with HSE’s Strategic Development Programme;
• The visiting scholar should be involved in the professional development of HSE employees as part of the University’s Strategic Development Programme.
